BONIYAR GETS ITS CHINAR 9JAWAN CLUB

 

Baramulla, 18 Oct 2016. Another Chinar 9Jawan club was today dedicated to the local youth at Boniyar by the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen Satish Dua in the presence of a host of dignitaries of NHPC, Civil Administration, JKP, CAPF from Uri and Baramulla districts. The Chinar 9Jawan Clubs envision constructive engagement of the youth of Kashmir and providing them with an ideal platform to the to interact, relax, rejuvenate, play games and to develop their skills for holistic growth in a stress free environment.

The club was aptly inaugurated by the young girls of Boniyar amidst cheers from the entire gathering that included the enthusiastic local students, faculty from various schools, youth and elders. The ceremony began with an inspiring cultural show put together by the very talented children of Army Goodwill School, Boniyar who were subsequently felicitated by the Corps Commander.

The Chinar 9Jawan Club is a path breaking project in the area and has been widely appreciated by all youth and locals as an inclusive and effective platform where youth can engage in free and frank exchange of ideas, hone their skills at games, enhance their awareness levels through the medium of literature and internet based knowledge, and listen to and practice music. The project will also pave the way as an effective avenue for aspiring boys and girls to prepare for competitive exams using various reference books of a well stocked library, as also through the medium of professional career counseling. Young boys will now be also able to develop their physical health using Gym facilities.

The Chinar 9Jawan Club at Boniyar offers facilities such as a Computer Laboratory, Tailoring and Knitting Coaching, Hospitality Management Training, an Electrician training Laboratory, a Mobile Repairing Laboratory, a Carpentry Training Laboratory and a Career Counseling and Placement Cell being operated by a professional Career Counsellor. The Club also offers recreational and informative avenues such as a Cyber Cafe, a well equipped Gymnasium, a Music Room, a well stocked Library, a Volleyball and Badminton Court, a variety of other indoor games and a Cafeteria.

Speaking on the occasion, Gen Dua complimented the locals on getting this facility and urged all to optimise its potential. He said that the club “offers the youth state of the art recreational facilities alongwith career promotional opportunities, where the youth of the area can effectively work towards their personality development in a conducive environment and give wings to their dreams”.
